Scott Priestnall joins as Club Manager

Scott understands the operations of a tennis club having has spent the last year as General Manager of Glasnevin Lawn Tennis Club.  At Glasnevin, Scott has led the club through the Clubmark accreditation and modernised the club’s operations, including upgrading their Smart Club packages and replacement of five of their outdoor courts. His desire to work in tennis and within his local community was a big factor in making the move to Brookfield Tennis Club.

Before Glasnevin, Scott spent four years running Yeovil Town Football Club as CEO and Chairman. During this position he operated their 10,000 capacity stadium, 20-acre sport facility, and their extremely successful youth academy. He also sat on the board of the club’s community sports trust, working on community inclusive initiatives and participation projects. Concurrently, Scott was a Board Director for The Vanarama National League, having been one of the eight peer-elected individuals that were handed the responsibility for leading the strategic future of the 72 football clubs in The National League System. During the pandemic Scott led their media communications, which included liaising with the English Football Association, Sports England and The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport; having previously been the voice and head of social media marketing at ESPN when they launched their TV coverage of the Premier League.

Scott has extensive hospitality experience having previously been Director of Operations of The Drink Group, consisting of 11 boutique bars and clubs, as well as CEO of Yumchaa, a London city centre chain cafes and tea shops.

Scott has a Masters in Business Administration and since relocating to Ireland has been working with the Carmichael Group, mentoring CEO’s of non-profit organisations, to assist them with creating and implementing strategic plans, ways of increasing revenues; as well as fundraising and grant opportunities.

Scott has Tennis in his blood, having grew up next to a tennis club and is a lover of most sports.  Formerly a single handicap golfer, who loves watching football, cricket and tennis.  He has seen most films but can never remember the titles, has terrible music knowledge, father of four girls and weirdly an Alfa Romeo car enthusiast.
